Full Stack Developer

Hi, I'm Desi,
nice to meet you.

I build thoughtful web experiences — from clean interfaces to solid backends. Currently looking for my first internship to put my skills into practice and contribute with enthusiasm to a team's projects.

A developer who
never stops growing.

I'm Desirée, a 21-year-old Italian Full Stack Developer currently studying at ITS Digital Academy "Mario Volpato". My path into tech wasn't a straight line — I started with some programming in high school, then enrolled in an Industrial Chemistry degree at the University of Padova.

It was there, while studying, that curiosity pulled me back to coding. I started a self-taught Full Stack course on the side, and the more I learned, the clearer it became: this was the direction I wanted to go. So I followed it.

I write clean, readable, well-structured code and pay close attention to the details that make the difference. I pick up new languages quickly, work well both independently and in a team, and I'm always absorbing as much as I can from people who know more than me. Outside of dev work, I've spent weekends as a barista — which taught me more about teamwork, working under pressure, and reading people than any classroom could.

Cooking

Cooking is my most reliable debugging session. A good recipe is just an algorithm — and improvising in the kitchen is my version of creative problem-solving. I've loved it my whole life — it all started in primary school, when my father taught me how to make homemade pasta. Some things just stick.

Travelling

Every new city is a different interface for the same world. I always push myself to explore as much as I can — talking to the people who live there, joining in their traditions, experiencing the kind of things you can't find on a map.

Art History

Art history was one of the subjects that stayed with me long after school. I go to exhibitions when I can, and I find the same kind of attention to detail and composition in a well-designed interface that I find in a painting. Front-end development, to me, is a quiet form of art.

Long Walks

My best ideas happen while walking. No headphones, no destination — just movement and thinking. I'm always drawn to nature — it clears the mind in a way nothing else does. A long walk is often the most productive thing I can do when I'm stuck on a problem.

Literature

Reading is one of those things I always want to do more of. It sharpens the mind and builds focus, but it never feels like work — the story does all the heavy lifting. I'm especially drawn to Italian literature from the 1800s and 1900s: the rhythm of the language, the weight of the themes, the way ideas are shaped into words.
